DR. BARNADO'S HOMES.

To help the funds of Dr. Barnados Homos, and so help to save child life, Mrs. Boyd, (the local secretary for Dr. Barnado’s Homes) and the committee intend giving an afternoon at her house on Wednesday, July IS, when all interested will be welcome.?; We know that . over 9000 Barnado boys are fighting for us. To the fend of last year nearly 1000 children? of soldiers and sailors had been admitted to the Homes since the war started. Funds must be got ' to carry on this good work and we feel the people of this district will be glad to have opportunity of doing their bit One of the attractions of the afternoon is to be a camisole competition. A prize of one pound will be given for the best made camisole. All are invited to compete. The only condition of entry is that the camisoles must be given to be sold on the fancy stall. A popular concert will be given the same evening in the Parish Hall, particulars later.
