ROUMANIA.
ROUMANIAN ARMY IN GOOD FIGHTING CONDITION. BETTER EQUIPPED THAN EVER. Received 9.1 sa.m. fife 1 LONDON, June 24. The “Daily Mail” has received information that the Roumanian army is a better fighting organisation than at any period of her intervention, her morale is unshattered and her equipment is immeasurably superior. The King remains the idol of the troops. Public opinion at Jassy is optimistic Although the Germans expect much benefit from the crops in the occupied districts, they are faced ■with great difficulties of transport. On the other hand they have made substantial progress towards the restoration of the oil wells which the British destroyed.
