THE POULTRY CLASSES. TAIHAPE SCOEES HEAVIL*#- ______ •** At the Palmerston Winter Show this week, in the poultry classes, Taihape exhibitors had quite a field day. Outside of Taihape fanciers, in the American White Leghorn classes only outside exhibitors scored a ticket, ajfr they were third prizes. The Leghorn Cup went to Mr. J. McKenzie. The birds sent from Taihape totalled, 70, the tickets brought back being; 1 cup 4 specials, 10 firsts, 12 seconds, 1 thirds, and 5 V.H.C. Following are the Taihape winners I in the various classes:— i AMERICAN LEGHORNS. j Cock—McKenzie, Ist, 2nd, 3rd, and special, (14 entries.) Cockerel—Mathie, Ist and 2nd; McKenzie, Y.H.C., (21 entries). Hen—Mathie, Ist and special and 2nd, Fraser, 3rd, (9 entries.) Pullet. —McKenzie, Ist and 2ndj, Mathie, V.H.C. (19 entries).
