IMPORTANT CAPTURES BY ITALIANS. AUSTRIA LOSES HEAVILY. ROME, June 15. The Italians in the Carso battle captured the Austrians' commissariat 'depots, consisting of twenty days' food for 200,000 men and including a million boxes of preserved meat. This is serious for the Austrians, who for a long time have been badly fed.

Italian official.—We attacked and carried a strongly-fortified position on Cornocavento in eastern Trentino. We prisonered the remainder of the garrison and captured two guns and a large quantity of supplies and ammunition.

The enemy, continually reinforced, violently attacked our position at Ortigara, but all attacks failed.
