SUBMARINE CAMPAIGN.
TORPEDOED NORWEGIAN FIShERS. AN INCOMPREHENSIBLE .ACTION. Received 10.25. CHRISTIANIA, June 10. Consternation has been caused in Norway, over the submarining of fishing boats off Denmark. It is believed that over twenty were sunk, and others are returning for safety. The Norwegian Government has protested to Berlin, declaring it is incomprehensible what advantage can be served, as Denmark is outside the war zone defined by Germany. AUSTRIAN DESTROYER SUNK. Received 9.30. ROME, June 10. Italian submarines torpedoed and sank an Austrian destroyer in the Adriatic on June 4. TURKISH AFFAIRS. STARVATION INCREASING. Received 10T2~5. ATHENS, June 10. Americans recently in Constantinople report that the condition of the population is tragic, arm there are deaths from starvation almost daily. If the war continues another year the majority of the population is likely to die of starvation.

Mr. Abraham Elkers, American Ambassador at Constantinople, ftas arrived. He declares the Turkish confidence is unshaken, but is friendly towards England and France. They are treating their prisoners well, and regretted America's entry into the war. General Townshend is imprisoned on an island in Marmora, and is permitted to visit Constantinople Trequently. INCIDENTS OF THE WAR CANADA AND CONSCRIPTION. FEMALE SUFFRAGE BEING CONSIDERED. OTTAWA, j un e 10. The press announces that the Cabinet is likely to grant the Dominion a wide female suffrage as a preliminary to conscription.
