STARS. —*— V Fair stories and detective stories have a good deal in common. They are equally popular, deal equally with improbable and fantastic situations;, and are both satisfying if artistic. "A good specimen of the first-class sensational defective tale is "Through-Tine Wall." A highly-spiced dish of sensation, plot and counter-plot, master criminal and clever detective, and so on is provided in "Through the Wall" at the Three Stars Theatre to-night only.

EVERYBODY'S. The new programme to be shown at Everybody's to-night is headed by w-hat is described as an absorbing drama entitled "Under Cover." It comes from the studios of the Lasky Corporation, the Famous Players having been assigned the cast. Thestage version of the piece will be remembered by many theatre-goers, and' the cinema adaptation is said to retain all the salient features of thedrama, with additional effects made possible by animated photography. The attractive actress. Miss Hazel' Dawn, will be seen in the part of Ethel Cartwrig.ht, with Owen. Moore playing the role of The story has the merit of being well suited for picture adaptation, and the solving of the mystery surrounding the 200,000 dollar necklace should prove interesting. An attempt to smuggle the jewels int# America is the leading feature of the plot, and a mysterious Secret Service agent plays an important part in the story. There are many interesting complications, and the leading character is ultimately trapped by the Customs agent. The' story ends in a most surprising cllmax, which is said to be particularly well portrayed. Throughout the plot a beautiful love romance tempers the intensely dramatic points, and adds to its charm. Supports include a British War Film, and other interesting subjects. On Monday Pauline Frederick will be seen in the celebrated emotional drama "Sold."
