APPEAL FOR REINSTATEMENT DISMISSED.
SYDNEY. May 28
The Full Court refused Lord Mayor R. D. Meagher’s appeal for reinstatement on the roll of solicitors. The case aroused widespread interest in view of various appeals since Mr. Meagher was struck off the rolls in 1896.

MELBOURNE, May 28 As a result of the butter census the Food Commission estimates that there arc sufficient supplies of the first grade to meet requirements until the spring, obviating importation. WEAVERS’ DISPUTE SETTLED LONDON, May 28. The weavers have accepted the employers ’ offer of a ten per cent, increase, commencing in July.
