Wireless: A German message says: We repulsed French attacks westward of Froidmont farm, at Vaucierc, -penetrated the French position in the forest of Apremojit and downed ten enemy aeroplanes. Fighting has been actively revived at several points on the East Front We ;drove off Russian reconnoitres eastward of Tukkum.
SOLDIERS OF THE LEGION. GREAT FIGHT AT AUBERVE. PARIS, May 24. The Foreign Legion, which includes fifty nationalities in its. ranks, has keen mentioned in despatches for the fifth time for making, since April 17, the bulk of the gains in a certain Auberve region of the Eastern Champagne, including the capture of the village of Auberve. The Legion fought continuously for six days against Hindenburg’s picked' troops, and threw fifty. thousand grenades until its objectives were gained.
