EVERYBODY’S.

The new entertainment offend patrons of Everybody’s to-nighT is headed by a photoplay,, adventure, entitled “The Lost Bridegroom.” The following is a short synopsis; Bertie Joyce, a young societyj^aan r is struck on the head by thieves while returning from his bachelor dinner oa the eve of his marriage to .Dorothy Hardin. His memory completely obliterated by the blow, Joyce wanders down to the river front, falls asleep on a wharf, and tumbles into the river. Scrambling out of the water, he removes his dress shirt, wrings it out, and ambles into the first saloon. There is a mild sensation in the place when the stranger enters, and the inhabitants are all for throwing him out. Then it is decided that he would make an excellent gentleman burglar, adding “class” to the gang. So he is trained in the art of burglin.g He is sent with others to rob his .own fiance’s home. They get inside the house, and when Dorothy- interrupts the work Joy-ce instinctively shields her from the blow of one of the burglarsThe crook attacks Joyce, and the two men engage in a desperate battle, during the course of which they fill down a flight of eighteen steps. The police arrive and a doctor declares that a very- minor operation will completely restore Joyce’s memory, and when it has been performed Joyce has no knowledge of his excursion into the underworld, but believes that he is simply recovering from the hilarity of his bachelor dinner. Othe pictures well selected aim iteresting, complete an excellent programme.

THREE STARS. Edna May, the famoue “Belle of Now York,” is immortalised in the filmicdramatisation of that celebrated musical comedy in the Yitagraph Company’s powerful Idrama, “Salvation Joan. J; Considerable diplomacy and much argument was necessary before the one-time darling of the musical comedy stage could be induced to appear on the screen, but the idea of once more liviing her old part of the S:i-.ration; lassie' decided her, and the result is said to be a big coup for the producers. .At the Three Stars Theatre to-night Edna May is seen in- her favourite irole. —the role that made her famous—of the Salvation lassie whoso gentle influence and patient courage triumphs over vice and wickedness; 7500 feet of perfect acting for one night only. The star film is well supported by an attractive juries of various topics.

On Monday and Tuesday nights thepicturisation of Eider Haggard r s worldfamous "She'’ will take place. The scenario is by Nullie Lucocpie, the scenes by Lancelot Speed, and the pier ture is produced...under the management of Mr. Will Barker, who occupies the leading place in. film production in Great Britain. Mdllc Alice Delysia, the great French actress, is faking/the character of “Sac." and is ably supported by. the best dramatic talent in England. The serening of this picture will undoubtedly mark an epoch in the way of motion pictures in Taihape.
