•ATTEMPTING TO PROCURE EXEMPTION. ' HAMILTON, this day. Before the Second Military Board yes terdav, F. L. Corrigan, farmer, Ohaupo, who was granted exemption till May, was confronted with a report received by the Board to the effect that he had openly stated he had obtained exemption by ‘‘squaring” Mr. Hockley, one of the members of the Board. The appellant was closely examined by the chairman, F. Earl, K.C., in the matter, but swore the report was untrue, and he had never approached any member of the Board as alleged.
