EVERYBODY'S. "Peg 0' the Ring/' the super serial has arrived. Where dees it hail from, you ask? Why, where else than from T.A., aptly termed '-'The Home of Serials." Pretty Peg (Lucille Love, alias Grace Cunard) is going to capture all hearts. The very quintcsce'nqe ; of 'Womanly grace and'ehdrnij she is bound '' to'captivate the fancy' 6i the'cmeni'a- : going public, and' fi'ir adventures) we' predict, will soori be' : ? lie craze'. have surpassed ' then:wives - with' this pioneer circus pradueti&H. We use the • word pioneer advisedly,' for it is the very first serial photo-play woven around the circus ring; the first picto-. rial history of a life with a lure and charm all its own. Most, of us can recall, as perhaps our very earliest recollection of pleasure,- the special treat of a visit to the circus, and long years ago though it may be', we still retain a wish to learn more arid to get a deeper insight into the eare'-free; roving life ' of the heroes and heroines 'of childhood 's memory. They - then, seen through the eye of iriexperi-:'sn£ft;.,->with added k'copledge they fas-. einate us still. "Peg 0' the Ring" will commence to be shown at Everybody's to-night. There are fifteen episodes each of 2000 feet, and the vivacity and life of the arena vibrate in every reel. Every episode has its own peculiar interest and almost every foot a sensational thrill. With its unique and kaleidoscopic ensemble of the joys and sorrows, the laughter and the tears of these people of the road, it startles, fascinates, but above all, compels attention. The settings in which the story is laid also pave the way for some fine spectacular effects, yet another link in the chain of attractions which the subject possesses. Technical detail and photography of the highesa quality are a sine qua non in T.A. productions, and "Peg" is up to the usual high plane In this respect. When we state that Grace Cunard (Luciljif Love) is Peg, and Francis Ford (Hugo Loubeque) the hero, we have said all.
THREE STARS. There was a large and appreciative audience at the Three Stars last night, when the star film of the evening was "The Final Judgment," in which Ethel Barrvmore and Hamilton Ross filled the leading holes. It is not often that such a strong cast is obtained in ona picture, 'and more rarely still to meet with one in which the different roles fitted so congenially die various actors. The story is an unusual erne exceedingly well told, the plot centring round the "operations of a scientific poisoner and the sclf-saerifiee of s devoted wife, who submits to rtc repulsive caresses of the poisoner in her endeavour to clear her husband from the charge u mu rder. The climax is reached with_ a
dramatic intensity rarely seen !n pi*;.. tnros _not even excepting mous Metro dramas.. The first episode of -Wild Animal Life" was ed/nnd -as most instructive. Mr ana Mrs Sydney Drew appeared m<a vet fine comedy entitled "A Quiet Little Honeymoon," which besides being ver, humorous, conveyed a little moral Thwill be, shown to-night St time.
