Accused of decapitating a white girl after an assault at New Orleans, Parsons, a negro, was forcibly taken from the sheriff’s custody and burned at the stake at Pott’s Camp, Missouri. Parsous implicated two other negroes. One,' a deaf mute, was discovered, and also burned. The mob is seeking the third. Women, and girls watched the lynching. .

; A DISASTROUS FIRE. Received 10.40 a.m. NEW YORK, May 22. A fire at Atlanta swept one hundred blocks, rendering 20,000 persons homeless. The damage is estimated at two million dollars.
