FOOTBALL MATCHES

Although official football matches under the jurisdiction of the Taihape Rugby Union will not be played this season, the public of Taihape will have an opoprtunity of witnessing several matches, and at the same time, assisting the Red Cross and Soldiers’ Comforts Fund

On Saturday, 26th May, a team of Taihape players will try conclusions with a team from Ohakune. The proceeds from this match will go towards the Soldiers’ Comforts Fund.

On June 4 (King’s Birthday), a team from Taumarunui will visit Taihape, and (he proceeds from this match will bp devoted to the Red Cross funds.

The Taihape team which plays Obakune and Taumarunui has issued a challenge to play a veterans’ team from Taihape, and the match will take place on Saturday, June 16, if the veterans decide to face the referee.
