Home-killed mutton and English lamb are 1/8, and occasionally as high as 1/9. r\*ew Zealand mutton, 8 7-8 d; ewe mutton B|d. N.Z. lamb, lOd; Patagonia, l/3id (?). Argentine mutton, lOd; lamb, lid; quotations nominal; holders not anxious to sell carcases, but by selling portions higher prices are made. Argentine' 1 chilled beef, hindquarters Is, forequarters 102 d.
Butter. —Maximum prices remain unchanged for both butter and cheese. Butter market continues firm. Danish butter, 204 s to 208 s, salted! N.Z. salted, 204 s to 208 s; unsalted, 201 s 5d to 210 s; Argentine, salted 168 s to 190 s, unsalted, 192 sto 3985; Irish creamery, salted 1925, unsalted 194 s to 201 s.
Cheese. —Market firm. Canadian, white and coloured, IB2s; States, flats, 160 s. Hemp. —Manila, no change to report, smal Ibusiness with spot parcels, Government has fixeu pi Ices. Average output during last fortnight, 30,000 bales weekly. N.Z., good demand for spot hemp near at hand; business has been done with fair, March-May shipments; high point for shipment at earliest opportunity, £BO. Wheat. —Firm market, fair business
