NEW TIMETABLE
FOR NEW ZEALAND RAILWAYS
Another Dominion war economy, accentuated by the recent threatened trouble in the industrial sphere, came into force yesterday, when reduced railway services, which have 'beeit mooted for some time, will be instituted. During the past three weeks the Department has been running & very restricted train time-table owing to the shortage of coal. The time-table coining into force is of a much more liberal nature than the time-table which it supersedes, although at the same time it is of a restricted nature as compared with the programme of trains hi operation for many years past. The alterations as far as the Auck-land-Wellington mail trains are concerned are as follows:—Auckland to Wellington, 8.45 p.m. on Sundays, Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursday and Fridays, arriving Wellington 2,39 p.m. next day. Wellington, to Auckland, 1 p.m. on Mondays, Tues days, Wednesdays, Thursdays, FrL*. days and Saturdays, arriving in Auckland 6.40 a.m. next day.
