HGLLWEG'S OFFER,

ANOTHER POSTPONEMENT,

ATTEMPT TO WIN OVER RUSSIAN SOCIALISTS.

COPENHAGEN, May 8,

Herr von Hethmann-Hollweg’s statement regarding peace has again been postponed, renewing the Interest in his probable terms. Neutral correspondents in Berlin, and also the “Lakal Anzieger” declare that great political events are imminent.

The “ V’orwaerts ” and other papers are making frantic efforts to secure peace with Russia.

In order to stimulate the Russian peace advent, Germany is provid'.ng luxurious saloons, with plenty of provisions, money’ and champagne for the Russian Socialists. Refugees in Switzerland arc going to Petrograd through Germany. Herr Ledebour, the Socialist leader, speaking in the Reichstag, said that the arrest of the deputation which visited Herr von Bcthmann-Hollweg constitutes a smack in the face for the whole labour world. The Belgian deportations were a terrible violation of the nation’s rights. The majority of the soldiers wore willing for peace without ennexation.
