TENNIS NOTES
A meeting of the committee of theTaihape Tennis Club was held in Mr. Ongley's office last evening. Present: Mr. H. O'Cailag-Uun (chairreianj Mrs.. Neagle, Messrs P. E. Wakoman, N. B. Isarkman, C. Z. Wilson, R. Ongley, pr.d W. J. Munro (Hon. Sec.) Ti'.t secretary cevo. tod t.'iat the bank overdraft stood at £9 lis, havii? Leen reduced by ills pinct? the commencement of the season. Practically all subscriptions for the season have been paid, and it was de<smed that members whose subscriptions were outstanding be written to requesting an immediate payment.
The condition of the court and pavilion were thoroughly discussed, and it was decided that expenditure on immediate topdressing Avas required' to prevent the courts getting into a greater state of disrepair, and a greater expenditure at a subsequent time. A sub - committee consisting of Messrs H. O'Callaghan, N. B. Barkman, and J. Munro, was appointed to
interview contractors re repairs to courts and pavilion, and was empowered to expend up to £4O on top-dress-ing courts and repairing pavilion.
