BOWLING NOTES.
HX7EN CUP. A rink from the Huntcrville Club visited. St. John’s green on Thursday and met the holders of the above trophy. In the early stages of the game St. John’s went away to the lead, and with five heads to go the scoreboard read; St. John 28; Huntcrville 10. The latter then came along with a rattle, and put on a five, four, two, and three, and put them within striking distance, the score being 28 to 21 when the last head was started.
Luck, however, did not come Huntervlllo’s way, and the head went to St d din’s, the final score reading 30 to 24 The teams were as follows:
Huntcrville: Mercer, J. Wilson, M. Wilson, Clarke (sk), 24. St. John’s: Scrivener, Laird, Goliath, Gordon (sk.), 30.
