ANSWERS TO CORRESPONDENT.
The Cospatrick sailed from London for Auckland, New Zealand, on September 11, 1874, with a full load of emigrants. Fire broke out aboard on the night of November 17, 1874, and the vessel sank about 4 p.m. on the 19th. Out of som e 700 people only three men survived. Their boat was picked up on November 27, when there were five alive, but two died before the rescuing ship reached St. Helena.
