LONDON, April 25. A large and influential meeting under the auspices of the Imperial Mission at the Cannot Street Hotel, resolved to urge the Government to give f immediate relief from the double income tax.

Sir Joseph Ward referred to the possibility after tlie war of foreigners paying only one tax, competing with the British paying two, and possibly three. The B'ritisher ought not to be handicapped, and a British citizen in any part of the Empire should be a unit, and not made tw r o persons for taxation purposes.
