Th e annual meeting of the Taihape and District Patriotic Society will be hold in the Town Hall supper mom at 8 o'clock to-night. Mr. E. Loader, one of the unsuccessful candidates at the Council elec* tion yesterday, in another column, returns thanks to those burgesses who supported him. Though unsuccessful, Mr. Loader hopes for better luck next time. Mrs Batt wishes to acknowledge a donation of £lO from Mr. f. Quin, of Hihitahi, also £5 from Mr. G. A.
