THREE STARS. At the Three Stars last night there was a good attendance, the attraction being Douglas Fairbanks in “Manhattan Madness.” The star picture was an exceptionally good one, the subject and method of treatment being out of the ordinary run of picture films. A Nevada cowboy comes East, and after living in Manhattan a week or two gets terribly bored* complaining that life there is not ta be compared with that “out Westland longs for a thrill. He gets it later on with interest, and in a manner not devoid of humour. But we wik have all lovers of a good picture to see it for themselves and draw their own. conclusions. The supporting pictures are all good, the scenic “A River in' France,” standing out as a marvel oft colouration and beautiful photograhpy The programme will be shown to* night for th e last time.
