LONDON PRODUCE MARKETS,
HIGH' COMMISSIONER'S CABLE,
WELLINGTON, April 3.
The High Commissioner's market report, dated London, April 5, is as. follows:
Meat. —There has been no material change in the market, with the exception that prices are higher for Argentine mutton and lamb, owing to continued small supply of New Zealand mutton and lamb. New Zealand mutton, 87-Sd; ewe mutton, BJd; Argentine mutton, heavyweight lightweight, 12id; New Zealand lamb, lOd; Argentine lamb, 14d; New Zealand beef, no supplies available; New Zealand boneless beef, Hid; New Zealand pork for Government, Argentine chilled beef, hinds 113-fd; fores, 10 3-Bd.
Butter.—The market is easier. Danish butter, prices are lower, 218/ to 222/; Australian butter salted, 19S/ to 202/; unsalted, 195/ to 200/; New; Zealand salted, 214/ to 218/; unsalted,208/ to 210/; Argentine, 196/ to 200/. Cheese.—No quotations, owing to short supply, with the exception of United States flats, 16/. The estimated Canadian States cheese stocks in' London, Liverpool and Bristol, total 5000 boxes, against 97,000 at the same time last year. The estimated New Zealand and Australian cheese stocks in London and Bristol are nil, against 25.000 at same time last year. Hemp and grain.—No change in markets.
