The. latter charged witn tneir batons anddispersed dense crowds of sympaapsers. After Mass at Cork Cathedral for the repos e of the rebels' souls, 300men, women and girls held a procession to the Town Hall, where they tore down the municipal flag and replaced it with the Sinn Fein flag. The police dispersed the crowd and replaced the flag.
