TAIHAPE GUN CLUB.
AN ENTHUSIASTIC MEETING
A meeting was held during the holidays to form a Gun Club, which was very largely attended. Mr. J. Whittle was voted to the chair. It was unanimously resolved that a gun club be formed, to be known as the "Awarua Gun Club."
The following officers were' then elected :-rPatron, R. W. Smith, M.P.; presideiitjj-vE. W. Spooner; vice-presi-dents: G. A. Wheeler, W. McLennan, P. E. Wakeman, J. Whittle and J. Gilchrist; secretary, Mr. A. M. Ryan. Committee: Messrs T. Bradley. T. Shout, S. Beban, J. Bowles, J. Ozaume, J. Robinson, J. Thurston, H. Belk and F. Cottrell. Mr. J. Champion was elected treasurer, and Mr. N. G. Drayton hon auditor. It was unanimously resolved that the new club affiliate with the New Zealand Gun Club. The drafting of. rules was left to a committee consisting of the president, secretary, and Mr. S. Beban. Donations promised and members'fees paid amounted to £l5O.
