INCREASE IN PRICE OP , NEWSPAPERS, ON and after 2nd. April, 1917, the Newspapers hereunder will be supplied at the following rates: Yearly, 395, with a discount of 4s. for payment in advance. Half-yearly, 19s 6d, with a discount of 2s. for payment in advance.
Quarterly, 9s 9d, with a discount ol Is. for payment in advance. Monthly, 3s 3d, with a discount of 3d. for payment in advance.
Regular subscribers, taking their papers from agents, will obtain them at ninepence per week. But all cas-, uai sales will be twopence per copy. At the late General Meeting of tne New Zealand Newspaper Proprie-. tors' Association, it was unanimously decided that an increase in the selling price of papers was necessary, owing to the. heavy advance in the landed cost of news printing paper, and tne increased cost of Newspaper production generally, due to conditions arising out of the war.
