AMUSEMENTS.

THEEE STABS. V A strange fascination seems to clingabout the idea of a man's double life. In "The Woman's Law" a brilliant five-act "Gold Rooster" drama, with. Florence Reed in th leading role, to bepresented at the Three Stars Theatr tonight only, this idea is used in a strikingly original conception. A woman'shusband commits a murder. He is no good, and she has long ceased to care for him; she ets him away,, and in one of the parks finds her husband's double. Then comes a great idea. The man is slightly insane, so she takes him home and passes him off as her husband, while the real husband gets away and the detectives on the track of the murderer, arrest the substitute husband, and he is committed to an asylum. The substitute recovers his reason, but cannot remember the past,, and when heis taken ''home" he takes everything for granted, even the '' wife'' whom he had never married, and who learns to love him. Providentially for all concerned, the real husband is shot and the tangle is happily straightened out, A notable feature of the play is the excellent work of Duncan McCrae in the double role of husband and substitute. The programme is enchanced by excellent supporting items.

EVERYBODY'S. M: A powerfully dramatic play will be screened at the Town Hall to-night. The popular star Miss Vivian Majiia will be seen in a 5-act Shubert feature "The Wishing Ring." It is a fine story, and Vivian at once makes herself popular with the audience. The suporting pictures include "A Corner of Wheat," another splendid drama, the "Topical Budget," and a screaming comedy "A Hors eof Another Colour.'' This splendid programme will, be shown for one night only.,:T
