The recent fine weather has been,, thoroughly ta.Ken advantage of by tennis players, and there is greatly renewed activity on the courts. Wilson and Miss McDonell, and by Mrs. Dr. Sinclair and Mrs. H. Absolum, needless to sa!% to the satisfaction of all partaking.
thereof. l With a view to creating some interest a match has been arranged against Ohakuue East Tennis Club, to take place on the Taihape courts next Saturday, immediately aiter arrival of the North train.
Ohakune will be represented by two ladies and six men players.
A meeting of the committee of the Taihape Club was held last night. Present: Messrs O'Callaghan (in chair), C. E. Wilson, R. Ongley, W. J* Munro, and Mrs. D. Neagle. It was decided to appoint Messrs R, Ongley and W. J. Munro as selectors of the team to play against Ohakune. on Saturday. Mrs. Neagle was empowered to arrange for afternoon tea, which on Saturday will be as usual when matches are played, a general tea day. It was decided to select six ladies to take part in Saturday's
match, with a view to giving as many as possible match experience. The following Taihape players will take part in Saturday's match: Ladies* singles, Miss W. Spooer and Miss Little; ladies doubles, Mrs Neagle and Miss Gillette; douV bles, Mrs. Ongley and Miss: O'Callaghan; Men players, R. Ongley, C. E,' Wilsdafe Gifford, W. J. Munro, M, Kirschberg, H.
