AMUSEMENTS.

EVERYBODY'S. At Everybody’s to-night an to-mor-rownight will be shown the picturisation of one of the most thrilling and dramatic episodes of the sea, entitled *' The Mutiny of the Bounty.” H.M.S. “The Bounty” under the command of Captain Bligh, afterwards Govorncr of New South Wales, was commissioned by His Majesty George 111 to explore the South Seas, and especially to ascertain the value of bread fruit as a marketable food. Captain Bligh, a man of ungovernable temper and tyrannous disposition, caused much dissatisfaction among his crew, but the starting of a mutiny by Fletcher Christian, the second in command, was an act of madness. Captain Bligh and 17 men with food and water sufficient for five days, set out in an open boat 23 feet in length for Tofoa, but unfriendly natives drove them off, and the voyagers set out on the most marvellous of all the journeys of shipwrecked mariners, 361 S nautical miles, reaching the shores of Australia 41 days oftcr leaving the Bounty. The Mutineers separated. Some remained at Taihiti under th e old Chief’s protection, and intermarrying with the native women. Others settled on Pitcairn Island, taking their native wives and a few young men. THREE STARS.
