AMUSEMENTS.

EVERYBODY’S. A special attraction will bo presented at the Town Hall to-night, when 1 * The Soul of New York,” a big 6-roel Fox production, will be shown. This production is by Herbert Brennan, director of Annette Kellerman’s “Neptune’s Daughter.” This is sufficient warranty for the quality of the production, which is in every way excellent,, and as the leading lady is Valeska Suyatt, an actress of great physical beauty and equal artistic achievement, the picture play is one to which unstinted praise may be properly given. Briefly the story concerns the life of La Valencia, a typical woman of the Now York stage, wonderfully beautiful, but old in sin. Her lover (portrayed by William E. Shay) becomes a thief that he might shower luxuries upon her. He is sentenced to prison for five years. He emerges at the end of that time a sad-faced, grey-haired man, entirely cured of his mad infatuation. By accident Valencia sees him. Her old passon for him is revived. She tries to win him back. When her fascinations fail, she threatens to expose his past life. He will not yield and she prepares to carry out her threat. Then destiny takes a hand, and with climacteric suddenness and power the end comes. In conjunction with “ The Soul of New York” a five-part feature “The City” will also be shown. The full programme occupies about three hours in showing, and for all of the time affords a very excellent entertainment. There will be a complete change of programme on Monday.

THREE STARS.

The usual double programme will be shown to-night, headed by the great military drama "The Bugle Call” in which the leading role is acted by a boy ton years old, who saves the fort by a clever ruse in blowing the Bugle Call. The other Star is a really splendid production featuring Douglas Fairbanks in ‘ ‘ The Good-Bad Man. ’ ’ The supports include Pathe Gazette, A Vitagraph Comedy, The Destruction of a Fokker, and several other good things. The showing of "The Bugle Call” will commence at about 9.30. of which the following is a brief synopses; An unusually clever boy actor is;seen in the star role of the latest Ince-Triange play "The Bugle Call.” The drama tells the story of a soldier boy’s bravery, and running through the narrative there is a love interest which is said to be compelling. It relates how Billy, the ten year old son of the commandant of the fort,a widower, resents his father’s action in bringing home a new ‘ ‘ mama,’ ’ and honv that resentment is changed to love in the heat of a battle with the frontier Indians. The attack on the fort is depicted with a realism which is quite surprising, and it is said that a score of picture players visited the studio ambulance after one of the big scenes was taken. The acting of Willie Collier, and his riding and bugling feats in this picture will make many of the local boys envous and will arouse a responsive chord in the hearts of parents. With a programme like this there should be a packed house. The programme is for one night only. Bugle calls will be blown during the screening of the picture.
