THEBE STARS. “The Bartered Bride” shown at the Three Stars last night to a packed house, is a subjejet true to name. The plot infinely acted byi H. B. Warner. In this Drama you have what is happening every day, and the play is not overdone. It will be shown to-night for the last time. A brief synopsis is as follows: Is there any difference between the woman of the street who barters her purity for a living in the highways of itinerant vice, and the girl who is traded off by her parents in a marriage of convenience which ensures wealth and position ? This is the flaming text from which tin* Ecv. John Armstrong, in the Tiangle Nay-Bee Company’s striking and original dramatic presentation “The Bartered Bride” drives home to his millionaire congregation on Sunday, and comparing hci life with that of the society belle who is bartered into wedlock, denounces the ‘ ‘Marriage of Convenience.” With H. B. Warner in the role or a militant preacher, the scone is sensationally dramatic and strikingly impressive. The snporting items include some interesting scenes from the Somme, a deep-sea nature study, and a diverting ca rtomi-comedy. EVERYBODY’S.

Nina plans to have revenge on Tom and Jane, as her suspicions fasten on Jane, and she intends to impress her with her prior right to Tom. Nina also plans a motor ride with Tom, then spend the night at a farmhouse nearby, owing to her bribing the driver to let the petrol escape.
