A. mass meeting of local Catholics last evening, passed resolutions in similar terms to those passed in rchor centres, protesting against the Clergy oemocompelled to serve under the Mii'-ary Service Act, and parrica'a -,y Carho.'ic Clergy, for reasons as oiub'u d in Arch bishop O’Shea’s recent pronouncement: it was also resolved to suport the Archbishop’s action in the matter.
