SENSATIONAL SHOOTING AT INVERCARGILL.
INVERCARGILL, Jan. 29. A sensational shooting occurred last night. Frederick Annison architect, about fifty years old, mot Margaret Brennan, a married woman, in ictoriu Avenue. After walking a short distance he suddenly drew a revolver and shot the woman through the throat. The woman succeeded in reaching her home, and teas removed to hosmtell in u serious condition. Annison meanwhile disappeared, but was traced to a boardinghouse. When the detective arrived Annison shot himself in the head, death being instantaneous. The motive is unknown. The tuo h.tu been friendly, but latterly relations were strained.
