Gilchrist’s residence, Utiku. Utiku Rosebud. Thursday, Feb 1. —Dance, Moawhango. Rosebud Hekenui. Friday, Feb 2. —Euchre party and dance, Railway Social Hall. Railway Rosebud. Saturday, Feb. 3. —Faddy’s Market, O 'Connor’s Hall, winding-up ceremony, ail candidates. To-night a dance will be held at Utiku in favour of the Ohutu Rosebud. A short night dance, commencing at 8 p.m. will be held in the Railway Social Hall to-night. The committee of the Utiku Rosebud are holding a euchre party at Mrs J. Gilchrist’s residence, Utiku, on Thursday evening, when a most enjoyabe evening may be spent. The committe of No 4 Rosebud are holding another dance at Moawhango, which will take place on Thursday evening. Space for various stalls is being freely booked for Paddy’s Market on Saturday. The country districts, Utiku, Mataroa, Te Kapua, and Ohutu, are all holding produce, meat, vegetable and fancy stalls, and these promise to be better stocked than on any previous occasion. Taihape residents will have an excellent opportunity of helping the Soldiers’ Comforts Fund and themselves also, as there will be a large and varied stock to choose from. Afternoon tea, soft drinks, and jumble stalls will also have a stall at which a display of parcels and their contents will be shown, and the public will be given an opportunity of seeing for themselves the object of the carnival, viz., the funds to enable an uninterrupted supply of comforts to be sent to our soldiers.
