TAIHAPE SWIMMING CLUB.
A general meeting of the above club was held last night. Present: Messrs Todd (chair), Behan, Tcbeck, Champion, Missen Windsor, Deacon, Higgs, Dunklcy, and the secretary Mr. W. Hay. Offers of donations for the swimming carnival to be held shortly were received from Messrs Dymock. H. O. Bond. W. 'Williams, and the captain of the club Air. Todd. • Preliminary arrangements were discussed in connection with the forthcoming swimming sports, and a subcommittee consisting of Alcssrs Todd. Missen. Deacon and Dunhley were appointed tv draw up a programme for presentation at the next general meeting to be held Alonday night next. Judging by the enthusiasm displayed by the members at the meeting last night, there is every prospect of the swimming carnival being a distinct success.
