LONDON, Jan. 10. ,\ Gorman ofiicial message states: —
• • Hostile attacks between the Kasuio and iSusita valleys, east of the Oitu/. Pass, in Western Moldavia, were unsuccessful. A counter-thrust drove back the Roumanians who penetrated our hues at one point. Our curtain of fire broke up the strong Russian masses repeatedly attacking on both sides of lunUcni, norm-west of Pocsani. The enemy's losses were great."
THE TIDE TURNING. LONDON, Jan IG. Berlin reports that the Roumanians have received large supplies of artillery and munitions, hence their present resistance. ATTACK AND COUNTER ATACK. Received 11.4GV LONDON, Jan 17. A Russian official states the enemy attacked the Roumanians south-west of Predea, but our counter-attack drove him back. We attacked by night and drove out the Germans from Gerleschi, but a counter-attack compelled us to withdraw. We stormed and captured Vadeni; a dense counter-attack failed.
