ENEMY PRESSURE RELAXING. PETROGRAD, Jan 15. • The enemy pressure in Wallachia and in the Dobrudja has diminished, owing to the Allies’ resistance and to the weather. The Danube plains are now immense swamps. General Mackensen is demanding re inforcements from Bulgaria and Turkey, which are unable to provide them, Turkey fearing danger on her Ascan frontier, while her reserves are exhausted. Dobrudja prisoners state that Mackensen’s army is excessively fatigued, and that the commanders sacrifice their men freely.
