ALLIED CONFERENCE AT ROME.
DIFFICULTIES OF DETAIL SETTLED. Received 9.35. PARIS, Jan. 9. M. Briand, in an interview, said the conference at Rome was of the utmost utility. Many difficulties in detail had anisen since last conference, especially during the last few weeks, and attempts had been made to disturb the Allies' relations, therefore it was necsesary to dissipate the clouds and solve difficulties. All these have been undertaken with goodwill by the conference with complete success.
