Friday, January 12. —Euchre party and dance, Railway Social Hall. Railway Rosebud. Wednesday, Jan 17. —Refreshments at stock sale. Pukeokahu Rosebud. Thursday, January 18. —Picnic Utiku, 1 p.m. Dance Utiku Hall same evening. Utiku Rosebud. Friday January 19.—Euchre party and dance, Railway Social Hall, Railway Rosebud. Friday, January 26. —Euchre party and dance, Railway Social Hall, RaiUj, way Rosebud. ' Thursday, January 25. —Sale of work and dance, Utiku Hall, Utiku Rosebud. Date to be fixed: Dance at Bennett's Siding, Mataroa Rosebud. The committee of ihe Utiku Rosebud are working well in the interests of their candidate Jean. Gilchrist, and have already arranged four fixtures. On Friday night next a euchre party will be held in the card room, Utiku, the price of admission being 1/; ladies and gents prises will be provided. Next Thursday afternoon a picnic will be held at Utiku, the admission being 1/- for adults and 6d for children. The picnic will be followed at night by a dance in the Hall, a small charge of 1/ being made. and visitors alike are assured of W pleasant day and evening's amusement at any of these functions, and whilst enjoying themselves they can incidentally provide comforts for our soldiers.

Arrangements have been made 4V the payment of moneys to the trdft. urer of the carnival, Mr. N. E. Drayton, who acted in such capacity for the late Queen Carnival. It is expected that the positions of the first fcjPi candidates will be announced skr slide at both picture theatres at the end of this week, and thereafter three times weekly.
