A TOOL OF THE GERMANS. BODY FOUND IN THE NEVA. LONDON, Jan. 2. The ''Times'' correspondent at Petrograd states that the police traced a blood-stained track from Prince Yusupoff's palace to a newly-eut ice hole in the Neva, where divers recovered the body of the Monk Rasputin. Domestics in the palace informed the police that the blood was due to the shooting of a mad dog. exhibiting tho bod}- of the animal. Prince Yusupoff left Pctrograd after Rasputin's disappearance from his Crimean estates, and returned on Monday. The ' • Paris Journal'' points out that the Germans used Rasputin as a tool fon the Germanophiles in Russia. M. Sturmer, the Premier, clang to office through him, whilst the * Grand Duke Nicholas suffered. HOW THE DEED WAS DONE. LONDON, Jan 2. The Daily Chronicle's Petrograd correspondent describes the assassination of Rasputin. Two aristocrats motored to Rasputin's residence and took him to Prince Yousscupoff's house, whence the police heard shots and cries. The body was placed in a car and driven towards the mouth of the Neva. The two persons concerned are of high rank, and one is wellknown in London society.
