TAIHAPE S.M. COURT.

(Before Messrs J. P. Aldridge and M. M: Carpenter, J's. P.)

At the Taihape Magistrate's Court on Tuesday, Thomas O'Neill, for committing a grossly indecent act in the Recreation Grounds on New Year's , Day, was convicted and sentenced to \ two months' hard labour.

John Anderson was charged with drunkenness. From the evidence it. appeared the accused had been behav-' ing in a very peculiar maner of late,, and the police had doubts about his being quite right in his head. If he were allowed his liberty in his present state it was feared he would do himself some injury. Accused was convicted and remanded for a week for medical observation.
