FIRE ON LAMBTON QUAY.
BOOT FACTORY GUTTED. 1 . 'WELLINGTON, Doc. 20. A fire, which did serious damage, occurred in the establishment of A. Lindsay, Ltd., boot manufacturers, Lambton Quay,, this morning. The insurances were: On the building, owned by Alfred Lindsay, £4OOO, in the Norwich Union; on the stock, belonging to Lindsay, Ltd., £O4OO, in Ihe Norwich Union, £IOOO in the Sun, £SOO in the Victoria; on Fairchild’s, dentist,, stock, £7OO in Liverpool, London and Globe. Mr Lcvicn, carrying on Fairchild's practice, lias his own stock insured for £2OO in the South British. A Paterson, trading as McGregor, Wright and Co., artists, , was a heavy loser. He had uo insurance.
