A MEDICAL CONFERENCE. SYDNEY, Doc. IS. The first Australasian conference of the School for Medical Services has opened. Delegates from the various States and New Zealand are present. The Federal Government has amended the Entertainment Taxation Bill, deleting the tax on sixpenny tickets. NEW SOUTH WALES MINERS. TO FOREGO XMAS HOLIDAYS. SYDNEY, Dec. 18. The Newcastle and Maitland district miners have decided to forego the usual Christmas holidays,, excepting Xmas Day. NEW SOUTH WALES AGENTGENERALSHIP. SYDNEY, Dec. 18. Mr Wade announced that he has declined the offer of the ‘Agent-General-ship on account of health. The offer remains open, should he desire to accept it after a lengthy rest trip.
