PROHIBITION OF LIQUOR.

LONDON, Dec 17 With a view to accelerating the output of merchant vessels, the Clyde Shipbuilders' Federation memorialised Lloyd George, urging the immediate total prohibition of the sale of all alcoholic liquor throughout the Kingdom. This should be applied to an classes and individuals alike. At a meeting of the Clyde and West Scotland shipbuilders and marine engineers, it was unanimously considered that the nation should be required to submit to this sacrifice, while at a shipbuilders and engineers" meeting, they were chiefly concerned with the beneficial effect this step would have on the output of merchant tonnage.
