THE TAIHAPE ATHLETIC CLUB.
The Taihape Athletic Club are holding a moster picnic and gala day on the Taihape- Recreation Ground on New Year's Day, Ist January. 1917. Included in the programme is a Handicap standing chop, the prizes for which are Ist, £7; 2nd, £2; and 3rd, £1; which have been Monated by Messrs "VVakeman Bros. The nominations for this event close on Saturday the 16tb inst, with the secretary, A. M. Ryan, Taihape. Nominal ion 10s. No acceptance but unless eight entries are received the event will be cut out. There will also be several horse-jumping events, the r>" zes for which have been donated by Mr. W. McLennan, the entries for these events will be taken on the ground. There will also be children's races, etc... and hoi water and milk will be provided free on the ground.
