ROSEBUD COMPETITION.

"PADDY'S MARKET." At the request of a number of the representatives in the country districts, the executive of the "Paddy's Market" decided to postpone this competition until a later date. Several nominations have been received, but the committee considered that if tie competition was postponed until shearing operations are finished, that hundreds of pounds would be realised. Representatives from almost every dis. trict expressed the opinion that if held over until a later date far greater interest would be manifested, and that being then clear of shearing operations, they would be able to give every assistance to the scheme. As the Women's Working Club will be in constant need of funds, it was consideree by the executive committee of "Paddy's Market" that it would be in the best financial interests of the Club if the Rosebud competition was postponed to a later date, when the committee would then give its undivided attention to the competition. From the number of entries received at short notice the committee feel sure of a very successful function later on, when the residents of the country districts are in a position to devote more time to the scheme.

It is hoped that those who have nominated Rosebuds will allow their nominations .to stand, and that they will take part in the competition when held at a later date. The committee tender their thanks to all those who interested themselves in the project and hope to again secure that interest.

With the above exception the original programme for "Facdy's Market' will be adhererd to. The committee report generous help in produce, etc., from the country residents, and indications point to a most successful function and the realisation of the amount required to continue for six months the supply of comforts to the Taihape soldiers fighting for us in the trenches.
