ROSEBUD QUEEN COMPETITION.
The above competition in aid of the
I Taihape Women's Working Club is el- ! iciting much interest and already some of the nominators of Rosebuds are beginning to hustle. Although nominations do not clns< until Tuesday next, there is no necessity for supporters of candidates to wait until then before commencing op erations. They can get busy right now, as the competition will definitely close at probably 10 p.m. On Saturday, 16th inst., and the campaign will be "sharp and decisive, as they say in the cables. As soon as the secretary has been sent the nomination, support can be solicited immediately for such candidate. When all nominations are received, each candidate will then be allotted a number of voting tickets issued to the supporters of candidates. These tickets can be deposited in ballot boxes at places notified later, the butts are to be handed by supporters to the committee as a safeguard that all money collected is accounted for.
Apart from the sale of Id voting tickets, candidates will be credited with votes for amounts received by cash or cheque, similarly as was done at the Queen Carnival.
