Wilson a temporary permit to occupy section 4. block 11, Rctaruke. 7a Or 3Op. a letter was received from him pointing out that this tenure would bo unsatisfactory, and it was resolved to group it with his present holding, 2, block 10, Rctaruke S.D., and allow him to select it under the Discharged Soldiers ’ Settlement Act, 1915. With reference to the Board ’s resolution of October 26.. postponing consideration of applications from Messrs E. T. Cowern and F. Anderson for licenses to split bush on Crown laud near Spiral Eaurimu, it was resolved to grant the splitting permit to Mr Cowern at the same rates of rcvalty as charged to the

original licensee. It was resolved to fix the price of sections 2!) and (53. block 5. Ka.rioi, for disposal to W. G. Blaeklock, under section 24 of the Discharged Soldiers 7 Settlement Act, 1915, at £4 10s pet’ acre, classified as first-class land, and that improvements to be effected be in terms of resolution of April 4, 191(5. Messrs A. F. Gibbs and Co. applied to subdivide section 2. block 4, Hailtapu (Education Reserve) and surrender about 2 acres for a school site.— 'Approved. Mr Joseph Takiwa, of Kakahi, applied for a temporary permit to occupy section 41. block 5, Kakahi township, containing 2 roods, at an annual rental of 10s. —Granted. Mr E. Olsen 's application for a permit to occupy Crown land in block 1(1, Kaitieke >S.D., was declined. I\lrs M. E. A. Blackwell applied to have Mr Charles Forest appointed substitute fon residence on sectoiu K% block 3, Hautapu, in place of Mrs A F. Amor. —Approved.
