RANGITIKEI A. & P. ASSOCIATION.

GENERAL COMMITTEE MEETING. A meeting of the General Committee of the Rangitikei A. and P. Association was held at the office of the Association last Saturday. There were fourteen present at.the meeting. It was decided after some discussion that the net proceeds of the Autumn Show should be devoted to -the Red Cross Society. Mr. T. W. Williams tendered his resignation from the Committee. The resignation was accepted with regret and Mr. W. Doole was appointed to fill the vacancy. It was decided that the Autumn Show should be held on the 28th February, 1917, and the Main Trunk Ram Pair on Ist March, 1917.

Messrs Watt and Lowry advised that they would donate a Cup valued at 25 guineas, with a stipulation that it be allotted so that it should stimulate competition among tile local farmers. It was decided that the Cup be awarded to the local farmer securing most points in any one or more of the following classes,: Horses, sheep cattle, and pigs. Subject to certain conditions, the N T . Z. Wyandotte Club advised that they would allot their Championship to be competed for at the Association's next Winter Show, the offer carrying with it £ll of cash specials donated by the Wyandotte Club and the competition for the four Challenge Shields belonging to the Club. It was decided To apply for the 31th of July as the date for the next Winter Show, and on receipt of advice that the date was fixed by the North Island Poultry Association that the Committee consider the conditions attached to the Wyandotte Club's offer. Messrs Church, Tosswill, Cooper, Herbert and Luers were elected members of the Association.
