FOR RESIDENTIAL TAIHAPE. At the meeting .of the Borougn Council a letter was received from Mr A. James, on behalf of the residents of upper Kiwi Road, asking what the cost would be to extend the electric light along that road, and on what terms the Council would execute the work, and what would be the cost of" light per unit when installed. It was decided to furnish Mr. James with the approximate cost of this work, and to supply him with the same terms in connection with the execution of the work and the cost of light, as those relating to the Kaka Road extension. The Council has fixed the cost per unit of electricity for those residing outside the area specially rated at 1/3, while those within the area pay Is.
